GREENVILLE, NC -- Brimstone came into the 15 team college open tournament put on by East Carolina University seeded 4th. Through the wind, rain, and cold on Saturday, Duke defeated every challenger, including the top seed of the tournament, Pittsburgh. Conditions worsened on Sunday, leading to the cancelation of the remainder of the tournament. This left Brimstone in a three-way tie with the also undefeated winners of the other two pools, North Carolina State and North Carolina-Wilmington.
